This course will be facilitated by Canadian entrepreneur Sasha Rodriguez, the CEO and founder of Virtually Noire. Sasha has successfully launched and sustained multiple businesses throughout the pandemic and has connected with UWIOC to share her expertise in using your skills to launch a business and create new financial avenues in generating income.
“I started my business because I did not see anyone that looked like me in my field. There is a lot to be said when there are no options for accessibility for clients when the potential business is available. I felt compelled to make a change and well, it was a successful pivot.
The world is changing and we need to change with it. We are too talented to allow our business world and economics to stop. There is room for everyone to learn and grow, so let’s do it together.” – Sasha Rodriguez

* Understand the online business market
* Learn to register a business and legal structures (Local & Global); Building a virtual office

Happy 1st-year Anniversary Virtually Noire!

Happy 1st-year Anniversary Virtually Noire!
July 4, 2021
One year ago today I decided to take a leap of faith and announced to the BT community of the launch of my virtual assistant business during the pandemic, with no substantial contacts. One year later, my business has expanded into a global opportunity for black women and men to work from home and provide for their families. I had no idea what I was doing at the beginning, but I knew I had to make a stamp in the technology and access in the legal administrative world and be innovative in my approach. I lost my job as a law clerk and forced myself to make the ultimate pivot and created my dream job.
This experience has been a real eye-opener for me in seeing the power that I had to create the dream job that I wanted and scale my business to be one of the first of it’s kind, globally. Realizing your potential is the most powerful tool that you can possess and I make this post to give hope to anyone out there that is thinking of starting a business and being derailed by imposter syndrome. I knew my capabilities and I understood my market, I underestimated my experience, but I was recognized in my strengths.
As a young Black mother with no full-some education and working in the spaces that did not pour life in my potential – This pandemic period was a blessing in disguise and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I brainstormed and conquered, and it is only up from here. I thank everyone who provided positive messages, encouragement, referred this business and provided mentorship, you are all appreciated. Thank you to our awesome clients for believing us. A special thank you to my amazing Caribbean team who have been the backbone of Virtually Noire since day 1.
Happy one-year anniversary to Virtually Noire and being the creator of the first-Black Canadian Guild for virtual assistants and many more years of business to come!
